THE DOOMSCROLLER BECOMES THE DOOMSCROLL-EE: EMI'S SUPER AWESOME SOCIAL MEDIA PLAN!
I AM ON THE VERGE OF BECOMING AN INSTAGRAM INFLUENCER EVERYBODY SOUND THE ALARMS!! It is finally time I begin to plan out some of my social media page >:D! As the team's social media manager, I thought it was an appropriate time to begin actually thinking about each and every single thing I intend on incorporating into my page to have a clearer vision and more certainty on eveerything I'm trynna do for like the next 3 weeks! Even if we didn't choose a name for our film yet, I still have a TON to work off of and future Emi will definitely thank me once it's time to make each post :D
PLATFORM AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE SHOWCASE:
The platform I'll be using for my lovely page will be the one THE ONLLYY Instagram!! I'm already pretty experienced with all things Insta :D I post once in a blue moon on my personal account, was very active on my Sound of Thunder saxes account during marching season, and post kinda frequently on my spam account! I really love just getting on the app sometimes and making some really cool ass looking stories and posts for the lovely masses to enjoy so doing this with much more intention for my super awesome film project will be a blast for me :] Here England look at my previous experience posting on the app isn't all this super duper cool and awesome

The backgrounds and the stickers are just so MWAHH CHEFS KISS!! Since I'm the living embodiment of purple, I went ahead and utilized a dreamy looking purple background and made it pop by adding some celestial stickers like stars, moons, all that jazz :] A lot of people really loved this one :DD Especially because my haircut went really hard :DDD Best haircut in the entire world :DDDD

b day party post :] this one was SUPER intentional! You may only see one slide but I made it 100% absolutely sure that all the pictures I include in this post are PACKED with neon lights and darker lighting! The goal was to highlight the general vibe that my party had to make this post really stand out!

I SPENT SO MUCH TIME ON THIS ONE OMG CORE MEMORY
Since the sax section color is red I went ahead and implemented a whole ton of redness into this story :] A lot of the sections in the band don't really embrace their color so I thought this was a really cool approach to just stand out and be all like "YAYAYA WE'RE SAXOPHONES AND WE'RESOPROUD"

this was a fun day :] I decided to go mostly white with some red highlights to avoid being repetitive while still maintaining the inclusion of our lovely section color >:D Being consistent is cool guys!

This was the summer post for the 25/26 season where I intentionally included a whole ton of professional pictures of us locked in and doing our thang during rehearsal to show that we were killing it all throughout band camp! This combined with the selected song really added a whole ton of aura to my section which was EXACTLY what I was going for ;D

One of my absolute favorites! This was our fall post made in the beginning of what we in the Sound of Thunder call "Bandtober!" This marked a new era for the saxes, and I made sure to make each of the 3 photos included have some sort of a fall vibe with a nice warm filter and a dreamy sounding song :D

THE POSTINGS:
Back in my social media research post I told you all a whole ton about what type of posts I was thinking about including on my page but it's now time I get a near to solid idea of exactly what I want to do! Check it!

Beginning of page:
1. Promotional art as a solid intro
-Taking inspiration from the Deadheading social media page! I really really would LOVE to do this. We really didn't have to last year in AS, but for mainly my first CCR video, I went ahead and created this really cool piece of our characters Charlotte and Phillip standing on the hill where the boss got buried, looking back at their shadows which are meant to represent their dead loved ones. I hung this thang up in my room and really just look at it once in a while cause it's that awesome, even though my art style and skills have come a long way since then :] Making this type of art for our lovely film (once it has an established name) would be AWESOME. I can make some really really cool art from the concept and aesthetic that we have built up so far which can stand out big time towards audiences and make them be all like "woahhhhh those 3 weirdos look like they're making something really sick, I mean just LOOK at the promo art! WE MUST WATCH!!!"
2. Meet the cast/crew posts
-THESE WILL BE FUNNN!! Just like how the Loco page did it, I plan on implementing our film's colors and aesthetic into each one of these posts so we can stay completely on brand :D!
Imagine this but instead of these lovely people it's Andrew, Emi, and Joaquin :D
And instead of the green aesthetic it's gonna be a really cool crimson red evil aesthetic >:]

There will be two of these postings! The meet the crew post will just consist of the 3 of us in our usual fashion while the meet the cast post will have the 3 of us (and one more for Otto's sister) in our silly character costumes! It'll be a really fun way to get audience to know the lovely people behind the crazy ass movie they're about to watch in a couple weeks :]
okay lol little edit this is 3/20/26 emi here :D I'm thinking for the meet the crew post, of just making them one by one! It'd be nice to have these 3 specific postings as nice features of ourselves since we're literally the foundation and the reasons behind our short :D YAYYY!! I'm also thinking of having two meet the cast posts right after! One will be one featuring the 3 main characters, Otto, Annie, and Mable, and the other will feature the 2 side characters, the person getting run over by a car (random passerby), and the priest! Should be nice and breezy :] K future emi out!! OooOoOoo
3. Some pre production videos showing processes like gathering parts for costume design, making the postcard, location scouting, etc
I'm currently in the beginning process of coming up with the costumes of our main characters Otto and Annie and intending to have a supa clear idea of how their outfits will look like no later than this Saturday. As of right now, I have a pretty blurry vision on how I want their costumes to look like, which is why I've been drawing hella mid shots of Otto and no full body yet :D It's gonna be like that until later on Saturday trust times will change!! Throughout the days I'm designing, I will definitely be documenting most of what I'm doing to be able to post on my social media as soon as possible πππ
Besides just touching on the costume design processes, some other pre prod videos we could include can revolve around the making of some props, the postcard which could definitely star Andrew, and any other fun things that come to the amazing-totally-not-insane brain of mine! Each video will be quick, pretty fun, and quite weird as that is the tone I really want each one of our posts to go through since our film is super duper kooky and so is the brand for it :D I'll have a good time with these postings :]
4. Some quotes
Given the absolute absurdity of our short film, this is DEFINITELY something that I would love to incorporate within my social media page! These types of postings will start making their way on da finsta once we have our script finalized and ready to go :] It's important to post lil teases like these to begin setting the general weird ass tone for our piece and give audiences and tiny taste of what they're about to watch on April 10th! It's gonna be awesome and funny, maybe super funny :D Perhaps even hilarious :DD
I just got the idea I yelled out a couple seconds ago from this Pinterest image I found a moment ago :] These types of pics, even if they end up making my Pinterest feed very creepy will be what I'll look at while making quote posts for some inspo :]! holy quacamole this formatting is cray cray

1. BTS, BTS, BTS!!!
Inspired by every single social media page I've looked at so far! Like I probably said various times before in the past, I would love to put in a whole ton of high quality pics and vids of our prod days taken by my lovely Canon EOS Rebel T7 :] After each filming day, I intend on posting a picture of the cast and crew as a mark of completion and to notify audiences of our supa awesome progress! These BTS vids and pics will likely be very silly and very goofy and edited to match with the color palette and overall brand of the entire page since I'd love to remain consistent with that :D

2. Some more promo art to reel in the artsy fans!
Inspired again by the Deadheading page! I’m planning on posting 1 piece of promo art after every other filming day complete (!) post :D It’s important though to not make tooo much so these works can still be really special and stand out a lot to audiences so whenever they see them they’ll be like WOAHHEOAHHHHH GUYS NEW PROMO ART WAS POSTED YOOO GUYS GUYSSS CHECK IT OUTTT THIS IS SO COOL AND AWESOME AND AMAZING WOAAHH 
ALSOALSO for these promos I would love to make some of them come from like the universe of my short film :D Last year I didn’t have to once again BUTTT I made this really cool Wanted poster for Charlotte which was a real thang that existed in her world of super cool wild westernness! In my current project’s case, I’m mayhaps thinking of making 1 promo an advertisement poster from Annie for his cult which will be the flyers likely included in the film when Otto puts them up to spread it to the masses :D This approach will be very fun to do and execute and will likely end in viewers feeling quite immersed in the world of our film and the characters before even watching it! If I do decide to insert ONEE more quote right before the film's release, I'll MAKE sure that this one is ESPECIALLY weird!! I'll literally take the weirdest line out of Joaquin's script and post it to create even more intrigue for our film :] And knowing the first draft of our script and the last draft even though I haven't seen it yet, weird lines will be EVERYWHERE so it will be a task full of honor to find the weirdest one out of the bunch!

3. Teaser!
Inspired by every single social media page I've researched! Every page I looked at had some sort of trailer or teaser or short video at the end of their postings, right next to the date of their film's release. If we have the time, I really want to do this :D It doesn't even have to be a whole trailer as obviously that isn't what my package is about and it would take up a good chunk of time, so the approach I'll go for will definitely be a really short video/teaser leading up to our film's release to stir up some "oooo lala this looks so awesome"-ness!

Mainly inspired by Deadheading's page! Their posting is not exactly a HEY! FILMS OUT GO WATCH post but still is something that I want to reference :D I would love to make a similar post to theirs and instead making it about the final day of production (I'll do that already in the middle section), I'll make it about the fact that the very next day will be April 10th and that everybody much watch our movie or die! Typically on social media pages you'll find that there are collections of stories called highlights and that is something I'm definitely thinking of doing, especially for the BTS as I know for a FACTT that I'll have a whole ton of videos and pics on my hands and would love to post post post which is more so acceptable with stories instead of posts! Toooo many BTS posts would feel too repetitive and we don't want that! The rest shall go in the highlights! As for other highlight collections, I'll think and see what other topics I'll use for my stories and what to name the rest of the highlightes I've said highlights 6-7 times now everybody laugh
SO YEAH! That's actually everything for now :D I lowkenuienly have quite a lot on my plate but I know with hard work and consistency I will be able to get through everything okay :] I'm gonna watch Perks of Being a Wallflower now
