2/4 BLOGS DONE FOR THE 8TH AND FINAL WEEK! EVER! As you may saw on the last blog, today I officially completed ALL of filming for both CCR'S!!! I'm currently halfway done with editing CCR 1 because I started literally right after my first day of filming because head starts are super cool and awesome, and haven't started with editing CCR 2 yet but will get there AS. SOON. AS. POSSIBLE!!!! THIS PROJECT! DUE! VERY VERY SOON! LIKE NOW! AS I SPEAK!!!!!!!
Anyway yeah as u probably guessed, today's post is all about post production! YIPPEEEEE!!!!! I'll first be talking about the progress made with editing the first CCR, and then right after will talk all about the progress with the second one! VAMONOS!!!
MY BACK HURTS: EDITING CCR 1!!
So at first, I went into editing this video thinking "this is probably gonna end up being like 4 minutes! YAY"
i was so wrong
I TALK. WAYYYY TOOOOO MUCHHH!! WAY TOO MUCH! So much so that once I finished half of the line edit Overthinking AND Rational Emi were both like "yeah no this is way too long Emi, you have to cut a lot of stuff" and then I was like "HHHHHGHHGHGHGHHGHHHAGAGGHJJ fine." I then proceeded to cut ALL of the unboxing Terry section (sorry Terry) and multiple scenes from the other unboxings to save as much time as possible! I wanted this video to end up being at THE VERY LEAST 6 minutes! I want my time for the second CCR! Although because the first CCR ended up being that long, I cut a lot of lines from the script....YAY FOR PROBLEM SOLVING! GUYS IM SO BURNT OUT!!!
Another big concern I had with this video was for sure the lighting! The only sources of light in the video were from the game room window and the purple LED pencil, both of which, especially the window light, can be messed with multiple times throughout production! Some of my shots were a bit too dark, so luckily I had the power of Color grading on my side! I turned up the exposure, turned up the warm tint, and we were pretty chilling after that! :D I only had to change up one or two shots so it wasn't so scary!
Other than time and lighting, editing for the first CCR is almost done! All I need to do now is add some graphics, sound effects, and scale in some shots because YouTubers love doing that! And super famous actress Emi is a YouTuber! So why not do that? :D YAY!!!
I also decided to show off footage from the opener and other media in full screen while I'm speaking over because for the format of a YouTube video, that approach makes the most sense! As for the second CCR, I'm thinking of showing multimedia through a little rectangle on the side if you know what I mean! Why? Because like, I don't really know how to explain it in words, but since the video takes place in a more natural setting, I didn't really like the idea of showing multimedia through a full screen; so I think this approach will work better! We will see! If not! So be it! YAY!!
DUE DATE IS ONLY GETTING CLOSER, IM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW: EDITING CCR 2!!
I was initially going to write about all of my progress with the CCR 2 line edit, but then my computer decided to triple backflip off a microwave on Saturday and left me and my beautiful project stranded. BUT LUCKILY! I GOT A NEW ONE! AND IT'S NOT CRUSTY AND MUSTY WITH 4 KEYS MISSING! Thanks so much dad for everything that you do :DDD!!
Unfortunately though, I had to start EVERYTHING from the ground up. ALL OF IT. Treacherous, I know. BUT! IF YOU READ THESE BLOGS! YOU KNOW I DON'T DO GIVING UP! I PERSERVERE! I STILL STAND!!!!!!! RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

As of now, the line edit for CCR 2 is complete and ready to be decorated with my awesome design!! >:DDD It shouldn't take too long to get everything touched up, as it is a much shorter video than CCR 1, and doesn't require a whole lot! STILL THOUGH! I need the whole day tomorrow to LAWK. IN!!
For this video especially, color grading is going to be absolutely NEEDED. Since this was filmed in the great outdoors, the setting changes colors as the day goes on! There are some shots I got while the sun was going down and the exposure is really low because of it, so I'll need to raise it! I also would like to add a warm tint on each of the shots in the line edit because I LOVE IT! And it's my video, so I get to do what I may please! (well at least parts of it, this is for a school grade after all)
Also, I decided to include some insert shots of super famous actress Emi from another angle at some parts in the video for the grand 'ol reason of visual appeal! I don't ever want my lovely viewers to get bored of my creations, so I figured that a video with this type of format, I would definitely have to include some eye catching stuffs!!
